Our Mission: Teen Health Secrets was created to help today’s teen and young adult achieve and maintain a high level of health, fitness and well-being. Teenagers need to know the latest about health and about their bodies. Health and sex education has been cut from many school budgets. This site is a guide to assist you in making intelligent, informed decisions.

What makes us special?
Everyone at Teen Health Secrets volunteers their time and the site has been a collaborative effort. We did this because we hoped we can make a difference in the lives of a few people. (Which has turned out to be a lot of people). Thanks for visiting and tell your friends about this site. Karen…

The founder & President of Teen Health Secrets, is a registered nurse, a writer and an educator. She has devoted her life as an RN to the welfare of teenagers. Her roles as an RN have included working with teenagers in women’s health clinics since she was a college student herself in Boston in the late 1970s.

She has taught AIDS patients how to live with HIV without transmitting their disease. Karen’s work with adolescents in a psychiatric-drug rehabilitation facility as a Nurse Manager gave her an even better understanding of the adolescent mind and its potential. She taught CPR and First Aid for the American Red Cross prior to becoming ill with a chronic illness in 1995.

She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. The ‘ Teen Health Secrets’ concept came to her and some friends when they saw a way to help her educate today’s teenagers via the Internet due to her physical limitations.

Galina … Teen Reporter

Galina is from Armenia and was our fashion reporter! Now she lives in Mumbai on the west coast of India — “it is the bustling business and fashion capital of the country”.

A word from Galina… “I’m going to fill you in on what’s been hitting the ramps and give you a slight inkling as to what common trends you should stay clear of.”

(Galina is now in college, pursing her fashion design career).
