Glam Girl tells you ~ BLACK IS BACK!
A twist to the universally acclaimed “little black
dress”

So, Black has always been the color of almost every season ; but this year, it’s come back with a bang! When fuchsia and lime were in, we thought black was oh so B-O-R-I-N-G, but there are ways to make this shade look a tad bit more interesting. Here’s where I tell you how to wear the ever essential “little black dress”-with a twist!

When you have a dress with it’s own special focal point (an interesting back or neckline, or even novel sleeves), that little black number of yours needs no more dressing up, except maybe for a few trinkets. Add some shimmer powder or bronzing lotion to accentuate a nice back and a glamorous choker to dress up a one shouldered dress. If  you’re feeling a little adventurous, sew on a row of black/silver sequins onto a plain-jane black dress to make it stand out – a unique option for Prom! If the weather’s a problem, wear your dress with a shimmery stole or even a brightly colored sweater. You can still look hot, despite the sub-zero weather!;-)

Another spin on the little black dress, is wearing it in a different fabric, a concept which certainly makes an otherwise unexciting outfit look stunning! This season has been all about leather-so a faux number would be trendy and uncommon (most people think that leather is for pants, bags and shoes) An alternate option which would be appropriate for a chilly day, is a dress made out of jersey or soft wool. Warm and sexy! 2002 hails the return of velvet, so buy yourself a velvety dress in black.

Since black is the most versatile color, you can play around while accessorizing an outfit in this color. You can opt for a classic black and diamonds look, by wearing some delicate solitaires and a simple pendant, or you can go all the way and jazz up your look with a splash of color or gold. Smart ways to introduce color to your ensemble would be a pretty sweater, a bold bag and colorful crystal bracelets, along with a stunning red lipstick! If you want an overall metallic look, wear strappy gold stilettos, some bronzer, shimmery gold eye makeup and gloss (to keep the lips simple and the look just right). Tousled hair (which is replacing the poker straight look ) with this would make you look like you just stepped off the golden sands.

Ah-so many ways to wear one little black dress!

Now…black doesn’t sound that boring does it? Put on your little black thing and look gorgeous-whichever way you want to!

keep partying!
